For the first time in history, the United States Postal Service is taking it's Operation Santa Program digital. While the USPS has had a similar operation in place since 1912, this will be the first year that they are making the letters available online so caring elves can send gifts directly to the children. According the the BeAnElf.org, the organization that partners with the USPS:

Volunteers across the nation are now able to read and adopt letters online, and print out letters they select, together with encoded address labels. To protect children’s privacy, USPS ® staff redact family names and addresses from every letter, but volunteers may mail gifts using the coded labels at any of 19,000 postal branches nationwide.

If you would like to adopt a child this holiday season, you can learn more by visiting the USPS Operation Santa Program here. Your gifts must be mailed by December 20th in order to be delivered by Christmas.

If you are a child or a family of a child who might benefit from a little Elf magic, you can mail your letters to:

Santa
123 Elf Road
North Pole, 88888
