An Evansville Church Erasing Over 1 Million in Medical Debt

Families living at or below the poverty lines in the city of Evansville have at least 1.5 Million dollars of medical debt. One church is going to pay off all of those bills, with the help from Twitter.Evansville City Church has partnered with RIP Medical Debt, a non-profit on Twitter, that works on behalf of individuals, foundations and corporations to abolish medical debt and provide relief for those in need.

Donations through RIP Medical Debt allow them to purchase debt at pennies on the dollar and forgive it, forever. So, for just $15,000, the $1.5 million In medical debt will be taken care of.

• We are a 501(c)(3) charity that has abolished $635 million in medical debt for about 200,000 Americans.
• Those who benefit from our medical debt relief face no adverse consequences and will not be taxed on the gift. 
• RIP donations deliver “a lot of bang for the buck,” so $100 can forgive $10,000 in debt.
