Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will discuss the administration’s 2016 budget recommendations at Wednesday's Traveling City Hall meeting at Cedar Hall Community School.Cedar Hall is located at 2100 N. Fulton Ave. The meeting will be held in the school cafeteria from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Mayor Winnecke initially presented the budget recommendations to City Council at the beginning of public budget hearings last week. The public will have an opportunity to hear the recommendations again during a presentation by City Controller Russell Lloyd, Jr. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

Mayor Winnecke’s budget recommendations include $4.8 million in property tax relief through the local homestead tax credit, minimizing increases in property tax levy and continuing to fund the Evansville Water & Sewer Utility long-term control plan. New priorities include an urban blight elimination program, financing and constructing a downtown convention hotel and the Indiana University School of Medicine regional campus in Downtown Evansville, along with numerous continual investments in our city’s infrastructure.
