Energize Evansville Hosts ‘Fitness Activity Day’
From the office of Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke
Mayor Winnecke invites the community to join him at Sunrise Park this Saturday, October 17, from 9am-11am for this month’s Energize Evansville “Fitness in the Park” free workout. The October program will feature Fitness Activities Day with Travis Way and Wayne Cooper of Extreme Fitness Studios.
Instructors will lead participants through different variations of each exercise so the exercise session is fun for all fitness levels. Everyone is encouraged to attend and exercise at their own pace.
“Fitness in the Park” is a health and fitness program launched by Mayor Winnecke as part of his Energize Evansville initiative to give individuals support to transform their lives through physical activity. The program is held the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at a different city park or venue and features local fitness experts leading group exercises for all ages.
Sunset Park is located at Waterworks Road and Riverside Drive.
The Energize Evansville exercise session on November 21 will feature 2 Moms in Motion. It will be held at C.K. Newsome Community Center, 100 E. Walnut St.
