Do you know there's a secret Evansville Zodiac based on the legends of the local wildlife? Did you also know that there's more to your sign than you previously thought? The chasm of knowledge that exists within the Zodiac is vast and unyielding. Now you're asking yourself how I know the secrets of the Evansville Zodiac. It's really very simple yet complicated. One, and most importantly, I am an astrology guru and ninja. Two, the very insignificant part here, is I created it. Are you ready to learn more about your traits and fate?
January 20th - February 18th
The Catfish is independent and pensive. Evading enemies and other fish he dislikes with ease and without remorse, the catfish glides along easily through its academic and professional life of eating and swimming like a boss. Catfish generally are attracted to water signs. Catfish dislike discussion about their unusual but captivating whiskers. Catfish are great communicators but tend to get hooked on the very thing that they love most, which may result in the catfish's ultimate demise if not careful.
This month the catfish will have a great deal of focus and preparation dedicated throughout the summer to avoiding the hazards of his or her environment. Money will not be an issue, so do not pursue the temptations of the shiny silver hook attempting to reel you into a better deal. Be grateful and humble for what you have this month and the spirit of life will flow through you making you feel forever young.
February 19th - March 20th
Toads are gentle, pensive, and unassuming. They come and go as the wind. Being alone and being around water are of utmost importance to a toad. Though they're generally at ease, the toad can become a bit jumpy around unwelcome visitors. Toads are not compatible with bird or raccoon signs, as they tend to be preyed upon by those signs' personalities.
This month the toad will come into a lot of natural wealth. However, do not let this wealth muddy and cloud your judgment. Use caution when making decisions about the unknown, especially when it comes to exploring waterfalls. It would be safer to just stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used too.
March 21st - April 19th
The most cunning and head-strong of all the signs, the raccoon does whatever it needs or wants to garner success in any circumstance. With its prowess and determined will it is able to sustain all of its needs and desires. The raccoon's ability to summon his stubborn side in any scenario makes him generally advantageous over anyone out to wrong him.
The raccoon will enjoy new beginnings this month as nature will be on his side. "One man's trash is another man's treasure," will be the motto of the raccoon during this moon phase. Exercise caution in the night, as not everyone is as happy for your newfound treasure as you are.
April 20th - May 20th
Devoted, stable, and keen, the coyote bewilders everything around it and sometimes even itself. Lolling about in the night, the coyote is comfortable yet cautious and always subconsciously on alert. The coyote has very few dislikes, but when he does he really dislikes them. Dislikes include most humans, vehicles, and roadrunners.
The coyote will experience a personal growth this month in spirit and mind. The summer will be its peak season of spiritual healing. The coyote will succeed in growing as quickly as the wind bursts, making him able to catch up to the stealth of the roadrunner in both the literal and metaphorical sense.
May 21st - June 20th
The timid and quiet deer is a nervous kind, but personal and affectionate. Their unusual disposition makes them approachable when done with caution and very friendly after the initial wave of anxiety subsides. Deer are great companions and friends. Deer are very grounded in their convictions and refuse to conform to a "hunt or be hunted," frame of mind.
Their refusal to abide by that common survival standard helps them flourish throughout the summer but may catch up to them in the fall. Avoid anyone this month that attempts to negatively tag you or hold you down from your full potential.
June 21st - July 22nd
The squirrel is all over the place mentally, emotionally, and physically. The most complex of the signs, squirrels can be the best or the worst thing that ever happened to you. The squirrel's ability to live every impulse and emotion to its full apex each and every time is enchanting, yet impetuous. The squirrel's mood changes so rapidly that one moment it could be twitching with excitement and the next it can be just plain raging nuts.
This month the squirrel will experience its greatest sense of contentment with life. A small fortune he will find, stashed away and forgotten at one time but brought to light by the spring. By August though, he'll find himself reeling again and gunning to get away from the outside world again.
July 23rd - August 22nd
Like the sun needs the moon, the bobcat needs to lead. Natural born leaders with high creativity, the bobcat is strong amongst the other signs, only giving way to his feral desires. Bobcats though great at leading are hindered by their arrogance and need for attention. Being noticed is of utmost importance, but also contributes to its issues of being targeted by other strong-willed leaders.
This summer will prove to be extremely fruitful for the bobcat in relationships. Nothing and no one will be allowed to touch his grace, almost as if the universe prevents it.
August 23rd - September 22nd
Snakes automatically put others on edge unintentionally with their resting-snake-face, but they rarely mean any harm. Generally loyal the snake is a great friend to those who they deem worthy. Be wary of a snake that doesn't trust you; they're not trustworthy and may bite if the timing is right. Snakes are all about practicality. Nothing matters more to a snake than his ability to hide what he doesn't want to be seen.
This month the snake experiences a softening of the heart, shedding its former hard exterior to make room for its new softer change. Being more hopeful than usual, the snake lets his guard down for something unexpected and wonderful to enter his life.
September 23rd - October 22nd
Bold and patriotic, the Bald Eagle screams, 'predator' at its adversaries. Its love for the outdoors and being immersed in nature is incomparable. Bald Eagles can be gentle and warm creatures, but keep a sharp eye on them as they take great offense to anything that could be considered a betrayal. Bald Eagles can turn from bold lovers to birds of prey in an instant.
The Bald Eagle experiences great flight in spirit this month, stalking its utmost desire for life with swiftness. Steer clear of the potential field mice that serve as only distractions to the greatest bird of prey.
October 23rd - November 21st
People born under the sign of the bat tend to be extremely resourceful and have a significant amount of thirst for living life. Hungering for the blood of their enemies, they can become violent and crave vengeance. Although, bats have a tendency to be uniquely passionate, especially about certain fellow humans. However, more often than not they prefer to hide away in their caves to be dark and brooding.
Under the Bat, you'll experience an excess amount of attention this summer, wanted and unwanted. Be wary of the decisions you make in haste as it could cost someone their hopeful spirit.
November 22nd - December 21st
The sign of the Opossum is a compassionate one, full of good spirit. The opossum, however, will not take kindly to harshness. They are not likely to take any flack by laying down and playing dead...or maybe they actually probably will to avoid confrontation. Playing dead is not only a defense mechanism but also a tactic of humor, which opossums are abundant with.
This month, the opossum will have some very important decisions to make regarding family and relocation. Avoid anything on land that isn't dirt. Little red corvettes are pretty but deadly.
December 22nd - January 19th
Beavers notoriously are known to be very responsible, almost to a fault. Their obligation to responsibility can be misconstrued for rigidity. Often Beavers are noble and righteous. From time to time, their condescending words and sarcastic jibes can get away from them and irritate others. Overall, Beavers make for practical and loyal partners.
This month the Beaver should expect a period of uncertainty. Life seems to be dull and monotonous as if one were trapped behind a dam. Do not despair! By the beginning of the next phase of Jupiter, a sense of ease will wash over you and things will become easier than they were before.
So, that's the end of the secret Evansville Zodiac. I must confess though, that when I said me creating it bore little importance to the legend at hand, that was stretching the truth. In the words of the great and wise Ghost Vitruvious, "The prophecy, I made it up." Though your Tri-State destinies may be completely made up, (who knows, maybe I have hidden foresight) it doesn't change the end result. You are all still as amazing as you ever were, and hopefully, if I did my job, at the very least slightly more amused.
