When I was a kid, there was a restaurant in my hometown (Owensboro, KY) called Duff's. Duff's claim to fame was that the food rotated around on carousels and you would stand in one place and spoon your food onto your plate as your favorite main courses and side items passed by. I don't remember much about how the food tasted. I just remember thinking it was so cool how the food spun around on this big "Wheel of Fortune."

I think that's why I love Krispy Kreme. Watching those donuts roll along that conveyor belt and get coated in glaze is EVERYTHING!! If you've ever visited a Krispy Kreme when the red light's on, you've witnessed this exceptional, culinary poetry in motion.

Well, this is fun too! There's now a gourmet food option in Nashville that has a conveyor belt as well. It's called Culture + Co. and my friend Kylee just visited it for the first time a few days ago.

Kylee admits she was "a little shocked by the ambiance" when she arrived, "because it is literally a bar in the middle of a large food court." However, she says, "I quickly learned to love it."

Kylee credits the entire concept for L&L Market. It's a "complex . . . full of different food options, coffee, a brewery and other retail shops." One of those options is the inventive and fun Culture + Co.

Here's how Culture + Co. is described on the official website:

Culture + Co. is a cheese, charcuterie, and wine-focused dining experience! Our open kitchen and rotating conveyor belt offer an interactive and communal dining space. Our menu focuses on cheese and charcuterie with food pairings made in house to complement each small plate and is accompanied by a natural wine list.

That conveyor belt is a rotating railway of deliciousness. Kylee got some great photos of it.

Kylee says this is how it works. "They actually send around the entire menu (minus a couple of selections that are made to order). You just take off what you want." Each of those items, by the way, is indicated by a number that corresponds to the menu. Plus, you have a serve than comes by to keep track of which items you get.

Culture + Co is located in L&L Market, which is full of specialty retail shops and gourmet restaurants.

Kylee snapped a photo of Culture + Co.'s menu. I gotta say. It looks SO freaking good.
