Kentucky consignment shops are something of a beautiful wonder.  We like stuff in the Bluegrass State.  One shop just got a new home and it's much bigger.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CONSIGNMENT & THRIFT

I often have people ask me "What's the difference between consignment & thrift?"  Consignment shops allow you to bring your items to their store for a profit.  You take items according to seasons for clothing and some take household and other items.  The return for items is generally about 50% and I have seen a few places offer 60%.

At a thrift store, most items are donated and a person might receive a tax deduction.  Thrift stores are usually set up to go back into the community to help non-profit organizations.  Both are equally amazing.

The Clothesline is located in Shawnee Park on Scherm Rd in Owensboro- Daviess County.  It's a resale consignment shop that offers; children's clothing, home furnishings women's clothing, fashion accessories, and other housewares.  They have been around for over 20 years in the Owensboro area.

They recently made a big move just steps away from their old location.  They moved right next door in the old Rite Aid building.

When I asked Kim, the owner why they moved she told me they needed more space.  They have a variety of items and wanted to be able to display more for their customers and provide even more consignment opportunities.
