The Department of Natural Resources is warning folks about a batch of contaminated Christmas wreaths being sold on Evansville's west side.

The wreaths, which came from North Carolina, are apparently infected with the fungus that causes Boxwood Blight, a very contagious disease for boxwood shrubs, which are commonly found/used in household landscaping. The wreaths do NOT pose a threat to us humans though.

The wreaths were sold by Boy Scout Troop 399 at their Christmas tree lot on West Franklin Street at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. If you purchased one of these wreaths, you are asked place your wreath in a plastic trash bag and return it to the Boy Scout troop by Sunday, December 17th.
