For the 5th year in a row, the Owensboro Police department will be giving out food for those in need this Holiday Season.

According to a press release from the department, "They have teamed up with the Elizabeth Munday Center to gather food supplies for those regularly served by the Meals on Wheels program. With this year’s donations by local businesses and department employees, we will be delivering 300 food boxes to citizens in our community."

On December 20th, members of the Owensboro Police Department and their families will gather inside OPD’s Community Room to assemble all of the boxes of goodies. Once assembled, the boxes will be transferred to our makeshift sleighs; police cruisers and SUV’s.

This is another great example of local law enforcement giving back to the community they serve!
