Colts Running Back Frank Gore Apologizes to Fans for Missing Playoffs

To say the 2016-17 season didn't go has the team, or fans, had hoped is a gross understatement. For a fan base that had grown accustomed to annual playoff appearances, the fact the team has now missed a chance to play for a championship in two consecutive seasons is not sitting well — at all. If it's any consolation, it's not sitting well with the players either, particularly running back Frank Gore who took a little time earlier this week to offer his thoughts on the season, and apologize to fans for the team's inconsistent performance.

The team shared the video on their Facebook page Tuesday afternoon.

While I commend Gore for feeling like he needed to say something to us fans who rode a roller coaster of emotions all season watching the team seemingly get it together one week (Green Bay, Minnesota, Jets anyone?) only to look like they've never played a game of football in their life (Houston, Jacksonville, Denver), the apology shouldn't come from him.

Honestly, I don't want to hear an apology from anyone on the team. What I want is for them to play consistently good football again. They don't even have to win a Super Bowl right away, just be competitive again. If I wanted to be consistently disappointed in a football team, I'd be Browns fan.

Let's hope they get their act together in time for kick off of the 2017-18 season.
