Yesterday I posted a blog about a new type of cell phone battery and charging system that could allow us to recharge our phones in thirty seconds.  Now, how would you like to have a kill switch on your smartphone in case someone were to steal it?  Believe it or not, this is not just a concept, it's a reality.  Beginning this July, many smartphones will come equipped with a way for you to "kill" your phone so a thief can't use it!

Yes, if someone steals your smartphone, you'll be able to remotely lock your phone, wipe the data and make it unusable.  Then if your phone is found and returned to you, you'll be able to use a special identification and password to reactivate it!  How cool is that?

If you want to have this ability on your smartphone, you'll have to opt in to the kill switch feature since it won't be automatically activated.
