The Old Courthouse Foundation needs your help bringing a piece of its history back home.

The group recently discovered that the 7-feet tall solid oak filing cabinet pictured above is currently in South Bend, and the woman who currently owns it would like to give it back. The cabinet is an original piece of furniture from the Courthouse that sat in the original Auditor's office and for some unspecified reason, was traded away some 70 years ago.

Here's the catch, the home it's currently sitting in has been sold and the piece must be removed by June 7th. That's next Friday, by the way.

Here's where you come in. If you or someone you know has a truck capable of hauling the cabinet back to Evansville, and can make the 10 hour round trip to South Bend, let the Old Courthouse Foundation know immediately by contacting the Old Courthouse through Facebook, or e-mailing Board Member Larry Bristow at lbristow900@aol.com.
