Newburgh Pizza Chef Is Closing
Pizza Chef has been a staple in Newburgh for over 30 years, but the restaurant will soon be closing it's doors for good. Owner Cary Beckner says July 31st will be the last day for the restaurant. It's sad to see a place like that go.
Everyone in Warrick County has memories of Pizza Chef. I can remember going there after baseball games, enjoying the pizza buffet, playing games, and admiring the walls where all of the sports team pictures were hung. Then when I was in college, I worked for then owner, Charlie Willett at both the Newburgh and Boonville locations. I have nothing but fond memories of Pizza Chef.
According to our media partners, Eyewitness News, Beckner plans to open a new restaurant with a new name and menu at Jennings Station where Tin Fish used to be. An opening state has not been set. However, you don't have to worry about missing out on delicious Pizza Chef pizza! Charlie Willett still owns the restaurant in Boonville and it will remain open.
