The first ever "Paws 4 Vets" event is happening this Saturday afternoon on Evansville's east side and it's benefiting one of the neatest organization's in the Tri-State...Soldier Dogs for Independence.

I had never heard of Soldier Dogs for Independence or knew that it even existed...but what an awesome thing they are doing! This non-profit organization takes rescue/shelter dogs and pairs them up with local veterans who may be living with physical and/or mental injuries. These "soldier" dogs essentially help our vets live as normal of a life as possible. Can you think of a better cause?

So this Saturday the folks from Animapalooza are hosting a benefit event at VFW Post 2953 on Pollack Avenue from 2p-9p. There will be food, drinks, live music, an auction, a half-pot and other activities - all for a mere $5 donation to Soldier Dogs for Independence. All veterans and children under 12 get in FREE.
