April 30th is National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day – Evansville Area Shelters

Today is National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day and to celebrate, I thought you could use a list of the local shelters and rescues in our community. There are a number of local organizations that selflessly give of their time and resources for the homeless animals in the Tristate - most run entirely on volunteers and donations.

These organizations work tirelessly to make sure that every animal has the opportunity to find it's forever home. Regardless of whether you are a cat or dog person or maybe you'd prefer a guinea pig or a bunny - they've got them too! So to celebrate National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, visit one of these rescues. You just might meet your new best friend!
