Animal Control’s Longest Resident is Special Needs and Needs a Holiday Miracle
Evansville Animal control's longest resident is a beautiful girl named Royalty, and she needs out now!
Royalty is a beautiful white and black pittie mix (possibly, to be honest identifying by breed is very hard visually) with blue eyes that are stunning! She's for some reason been at Evansville Animal Control longer than any other dog, and she needs a holiday miracle.
You see Royalty is special, she's deaf. But that doesn't make her love any less loud. She's a sweet girl who needs a home who is willing to accept that she may not hear you, but she knows she is loved. She has learned hand signals since being at Animal Control, and if you're willing to learn there's a chance this girl will fit perfectly into your heart.
She has gotten along with many dogs at Animal Control, but if you have a dog, you will want to test her just to be sure she's a good fit.
Please contact Animal Control for more info at (812)435-6015 or even better, stop in and meet this sweet girl 815 Uhlhorn St, Evansville. If you aren't able to adopt, maybe fostering will be right for you. Contact It Takes a Village rescue to see about fostering Royalty (fostering is free)
Royalty is living on borrowed time. Evansville Animal Control does an amazing job working with local rescues to get animals adopted and to safety, but unfortunately they do have to euthanize for space. It's through no fault of their own, they do their best to not have to get to that point, but there is a critical level pet overpopulation in Evansville and sometimes it's inevitable.
If Royalty isn't the perfect fit for your family, please consider looking at the other pups who are at Animal Control also looking for their own miracles. A big thank you to my friend Linda who is so passionate about rescuing animals, and keeps me informed.
