Mayor Lloyd Winnecke announces plans for Energize Evansville’s monthly “Fitness in the Park” program this Saturday, November 16, at Swonder Ice Arena Fitness Center, 209 N. Boeke Rd., from 9 to 11 a.m.

The 4th annual Four Freedoms Veterans Parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 9th at 2:30pm on Riverside Drive in Evansville. The parade will be led by Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and Rolling Thunder Indiana Chapter 6.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and Clean Evansville volunteers will pick up litter on the city’s East Side this Saturday, November 2, from 9am-11am in an effort to spruce-up one of the city’s busiest shopping districts before the start of the holiday season.

Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke has been appointed to the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Transportation Panel. He will join a group of community leaders from around the state directed by Governor Mike Pence to recommend a plan for the next generation of transportation infrastructure needs.

This month's Energize Evansville’s “Fitness in the Park” event will be held on Saturday, October 19, from 9-11 a.m. along the Pigeon Creek Greenway. Participants should meet at Kids Kingdom park located near Riverside Drive and Water Works Road.

For the first time in zoo history, Komodo Dragons will be on exhibit at Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden. These highly anticipated new residents will receive a warm welcome from Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and be introduced at a press conference on Friday, October 18, at 1:30pm in the Kley Building at the Zoo.
