Reports are coming in that at least 4 people have been killed and many more have been injured in a mass shooting that took place at office of the Capital Gazette Newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland. It is being reported that the suspect has been taken into custody after police were able to respond in only 60 seconds. At this time, there are no details in regard to the identity of that shooter and no motive is known at the time of this writing.

Update: 3:48 pm - It has now been released that 5 people have been killed. It is also being reported that the suspect is not cooperating with law enforcement and will not reveal his identity to authorities.

Update: 3:52 pm - CBS is reporting that, according to a source, the shooter used a shotgun. However, police are not confirming what type of weapon was used.

Update: 3:59 pm - Gunman is a white male in his 20s but is not carrying any identification. He is in custody and is being interrogated.

Update: 4:39 pm - the building has been tactically secured. Authorities recovered what they believed to have been an explosive device. That device has been dealt with. There is now a criminal investigation team working the scene. Approximately 170 people were inside the building at the time of the shooting. The investigation is expected to continue into the evening hours. Next update expected at 8 pm ET.

Update: 4:46 pm - Suspect took efforts to remove his own fingerprints to avoid being fingerprinted or ID'd by law enforcement.
