Massive Recall of Dried Beef Due to Possible Contamination
Pinnacle Foods, the owners of the Birds Eye, Duncan Hines and Vlasic brands, have issued a recall due to possible contamination of their dried beef products.
Wal-Mart
Over 32,000 pounds of dried ready-to-eat sliced beef is being recalled because it might have been contaminated by the staphylococcal enterotoxin and clostridial toxin. My position is, if I can't pronounce it, I probably don't want it on my food or in my body.
You can read more about the recall and if it might affect you and your family.
If I could interject my personal opinion here. I would have to stop and seriously think about my decision to buy a jar of sliced meat that has a shelf life of three years, even if there was NOT a recall issued. I'm just saying!
