Dog-Friendly Places Offering Pup Cups and Treats in Owensboro and Evansville

My little 15-pound dog LOVES going for rides in the car, but he can be a total menace. I have a seatbelt that attaches to his harness, because if I let him roam free, he’d be all over the place like a caffeinated squirrel. He’s also figured out that when we go get ice cream, he gets a sweet treat too.

He’s an odd little dog. The only things he’ll eat are high-end dog meals, spaghetti, pizza, and pup cups. If you put a plate of ground beef on the floor, he won’t touch it. Treats? No thanks. But sugar? Absolutely. I have to hide pills in cookie dough to get him to eat them.

Why Pup Cups Are Every Dog’s Favorite Car Ride Destination

With the weather warming up, he’s pretty bummed I can’t take him everywhere, and I can tell he misses our little car adventures. So this weekend, I decided to take him out for a pup cup.

If you’ve never gotten one, a pup cup is usually a small serving of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream made just for dogs. Most places offer them free, and some even include a dog biscuit on top.

Doggie Treat Guide

My 15-pound dog lives for car rides and pup cups. If you’re looking for free or low cost dog treats in Owensboro and Evansville, here are the best spots to spoil your pup.

These treats are mostly complimentary extras, meaning:
  • They’re often free but can vary by location and employee. Ask - don't assume.
  • Some places may charge a small fee for the cup itself.
  • Make an additional purchase, don't just roll up and expect something for free.
  • Always ask politely at the window or counter. Most baristas or carhops love handing them out.
  • Dairy and sugar can upset dog tummies and should be enjoyed in moderation.
  • Dogs must be kept leashed and outside, with the exception of service dogs.
