When I was a teenager, I went to the mall every weekend. Before I could drive, going to the mall was part of my social life.

Everyone was at the mall on the weekends. It was a place, rain or shine, no matter the season, where you could hang with your friends and make new friends. There were times I actually thought that living at the mall would be so cool. But now, not so much.

No offense to malls, but they aren't; the warmest and coziest places. I've never been to a mall and thought I would like to curl up and read a book. Malls are just wide open spaces with skylights and tile. I'm pretty sure no one would ever actually want to live in a mall. Except maybe the person who built this home in Illinois.

I saw the home on the Zillow Gone Wild Facebook page.

The house is located in Saint Charles, Illinois, with an asking price of $2,999,000.00. It has 6 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms at 13,805 square feet of living space. The home sits on a little over 45 acres of beautiful wooded land.

There is so much you could love about this home, but it still looks like an old eighties mall. Take a look.

Illinois home with unbelievably crazy retro mall vibe is for sale - see inside

From the road, you see a beautiful setting for a house. The gated driveway leads to what looks like total seclusion. I AM digging that.

As you drive down the long paved driveway, you don't expect to see what looks like an office building or small mall from the eighties.

Whoa! The foyer looks like there should be openings for doorways on the side that lead to an Ulta or Yankee Candle.

The mirrored and skylighted hallway looks like is missing a couple of toys, calendars, sports gifts, and Christmas ornament kiosks.

I feel like the same person who designed this home is the same person that designed Eastland Mall and Townsquare Mall.

The kitchen looks like as you walk by the atrium you should see someone handing our samples and making smoothies. Is that a stool made out of stones? LOL

I can't help but look at this kitchen and think about all of the fingerprints on all of the mirrors and windows. You would have to spend a fortune on glass cleaner.

The kitchen is incredible, though. Not all like something you would see at a food court. It's way too modern and contemporary chic.

The pool is amazing and looks like it belongs in a hotel. Are there any hotels attached to malls? I'm sure there's one, somewhere.

The master bedroom is where things get even weirder. This is the entrance to the purple place of rest and relaxation. (insert sarcasm)

Ok, soooooo, this looks just creepy. Who could relax here? It is just me, or does this look like a set of an 80's Prince video? Look at the stage lighting.

The master bathroom is no better and even creepier. What is it with the mirrors? Even Jason Momoa and Halle Berry, to me the most beautiful man and women alive, want to see their naked bodies this much. Yikes.

The family room looks like a theatre for stage productions. Again, what is with the stage lighting, everywhere? It's like they constantly filmed things here. Weird and CREEPY.

Can you imagine the money you would spend on those types of light bulbs? It would be insane.

The outside of the home is breathtaking. It's the only part of the whole house that is even a little relaxing. See the waterfall in the distance?
