Goldfish Crackers Recalled Due to Salmonella Contamination
Pepperidge Farm is recalling several varieties of Goldfish after a possible salmonella contamination.The company was notified about the possibility of contamination by their whey powder provider, This is the second case this week of whey powder possibly being contaminated with salmonella. The first case this week involved Ritz Crackers recall.
The contamination impacts four varieties of of Goldfish crackers:
- Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheddar
- Flavor Blasted Sour Cream & Onion
- Goldfish Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar
- Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel
According to 14 News, these crackers have been distributed across the United States, so there is a chance that some of these products have found their way to the Tri-State. While Pepperidge Farm has issued the recall due to a possible salmonella contamination, no illnesses have been reported as of yet (7-23-18).
