Warmer weather looks like it's finally here to stay (can I get an "Amen?"), which means the kids can burn up some of that youthful energy they are so full of outdoors, instead of in the house driving you crazy. If your yard isn't ideal for that for whatever reason, make plans to get over to the Dunigan YMCA on Evansville's east side for their Healthy Kids Day event.

The 2-hour event kicks off at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28th as part of the YMCA's initiative to get kids up and active instead of sitting around the house playing video games or watching videos on a tablet.

The day will include "active play and educational activities," and is free to the public. The first 300 kids to arrive will receive a gift bag with a t-shirt and information on the Y's "Summer Activity Challenge" to keep them moving all summer long.

For more information, call the Dunigan YMCA at 812-401-9622.
