Move over, Karen. There's a new annoying complainer on the block in 2022.

Karens have gotten a bad reputation over the past couple of years. It only takes one rotten egg to give them all a bad name, and I think that was the case with "Karen". Even if your name isn't Karen, you could still be identified as a Karen...which isn't something that you want to have tied to your character.

The term "Karen" really took off in 2020 and has been a slang term that we have used since. According to Dictionary.com,

Karen is a pejorative slang term for an obnoxious, angry, entitled, and often racist middle-aged white woman who uses her privilege to get her way or police other people’s behaviors.

However, in 2022, there is a new "Karen" that has taken over, and it's a man! David has become the new Karen now. I know, this might take a while to get used to. According to new research from both TripAdvisor and Trustpilot, the most common name of online complaints in the past year was "David". Here's the kicker, "Karen" didn't even make the top ten. Nice work, Karen, on being a little more reasonable in 2022.

Top Ten Names For Complainers Online

So, we already have established that "David" is the king of complaining in 2022, but what are some of the other names associated with complainers online? According to the New York Post, the majority of these names are mens' names. In fact, the article says

Overall men are 131 percent more likely to make an online complaint compared to women.

Check out the top ten names of internet complainers below:

 1. David
 2. Paul
 3. John
 4. Mark
 5. Chris
 6. James
 7. Michael
 8. Andrew
 9. Peter
 10. Sarah

While Karen has stepped up her game, she's still not in the clear yet. Karen is the second-worst female for online complaints. But hey, it's progress. Now, we just have to keep an eye out for ole David!

40 Real Indiana Towns with Quirky, Weird, and Funny Names

Outside the major cities, the Hoosier state is full of tiny little towns you've probably passed through on your way to one of those cities. Most of them are likely 100 to 150 years old, or older, and have been around far longer than the large metropolitan areas such as Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, South Bend, and Evansville. Typically, they were started by early settlers who found their way to the state and decided to make it home. Eventually, others would join them, and a community was formed. Over time, as the surrounding areas grew, most of them were folded into those areas and governed by the nearest city or county's governing body officially making them "unincorporated," meaning they did not have their own formally organized municipal government.

A scroll through Wikipedia's long list of unincorporated communities in Indiana shows several of them have names that by today's standards would be considered weird, quirky, or just downright right funny. These are my 40 favorities.
