Think what you write online can't get you in trouble with your employer?  Just ask CNN correspondent Roland Martin.

The well known analyst was suspended by the network because of complaints made to CNN after he made comments on his Twitter account last Sunday in reference to the David Beckham H & M underwear ad.

GLAAD (Gay Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) called for his dismissal immediately following the post, even though Martin consistently answered on his Twitter account that his tweet was a "dig" at soccer fans, not a homophobic statement.

CNN issued a statement today saying that Martin's tweets were, "regrettable and offensive" and language that demeans is inconsistent with the values and culture of their organization.  CNN went on to state that Martin has been suspended from the network for an indefinite period of time.

Martin apologized for the remarks on his website saying he was, "disheartened that my words would embolden prejudice."
