The Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science is one of the neatest and most affordable places in town - and it's about to get even better. This Friday marks the grand opening of the much anticipated Koch Immersive Theater. In case you don't what I'm referring to, it's that big sphere you've seen them working on when you drive down Riverside.

The Museum will host its Ribbon Cutting and Open House on February 7th at 2pm. And in honor of the opening day, the Museum will offer free entry and will be open from 11am-8pm.

I can't wait to check out the new Koch Immersive Theater - I think that will end up one of the coolest things our city has to offer. They have several different shows ready to go. See the lineup below.

Forces of Nature

February 7th - May 24th:  Narrated by Kevin Bacon and produced by National Geographic, FORCES OF NATURE gets up close and personal to nature's most powerful and extreme forces.

Fragile Planet

February 7th - August 30th:  Narrated by Sigourney Weaver, FRAGILE PLANET gives audiences an astronaut's view of Earth and highlights our planet's unique regions. The journey then continues to the Moon, Mars, and beyond the Milky Way to search for habitats that might host extraterrestrial life.

Perfect Little Planet

February 8th - December 31st:  PERFECT LITTLE PLANET will help you discover our solar system through a new set of eyes. Fly over the surface of Pluto, our best known Dwarf Planet. Dive over the ice cliffs of Miranda. Sail through the rings of Saturn. Feel the lightning storms of Jupiter. And walk on the surface of Mars.

One World, One Sky

February 14th - December 31st:  Produced by Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street®, One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure, is a cross-cultural planetarium show geared toward children ages 4-6.
