If you missed the first deadline last week to join the "Do Not Call" list, there is still time to get your number on there before the 2nd deadline May 16th so you can cut down the number of unsolicited scam calls you may be receiving.

If you are anything like me and most of the people that I have talked to, you are likely receiving an unusually high number of unsolicited calls. For me they seem to be trying to sell me an extended vehicle warranty and the calls are coming in from everywhere from Washington state to Virginia and everywhere in between. The Indiana Attorney General has released a number that you can call or a website you can visit to add your name to the Do Not Call registry. If you missed the February 21st deadline, don't fret. You can still register before the second deadline May 16th. If you register by then, the Attorney General says you should see a decrease in these obnoxious calls by July 1st as there is a 90 day wait to get the updated list out to telemarketers. In the meantime, it is advised that you do not answer calls from numbers you do not know.

Add your number to the "Do Not Call" list by calling 888-834-9969 or visit IndianaConsumer.com
