Virtual Alice In Wonderland Escape-Style Experience Coming to Evansville
A virtual escape-style game will be hitting the streets of Evansville in October. Yeah you read that right, October 2022. It's a virtual experience from Cluedd Up Games, which hosted a virtual murder mystery game a couple of years ago in Evansville.
While I've never tried one of these virtual game experiences, I have friends who did the murder mystery one and they said it was a lot of fun.
So what is a virtual escape-style game?
I'll let Clued Upp Games speak for themselves on this one. Here's what they have to say on their website about the upcoming Alice in Wonderland game:
For one day only, the streets of Evansville, IN will be transforming into a giant, escape-room-style experience on Saturday, October the 22nd, 2022. Don’t be late!
Solve clues which just get curiouser and curiouser, take on mad and mischievous challenges, and uncover a dark conspiracy at the heart of Wonderland.
How is it Alice In Wonderland themed?
It seems as if the storyline is Alice has been trapped in Wonderland, and you have to help her find her way out. Clued Upp Games said:
Alice is trapped in Wonderland and time is running out to save her!
Follow Alice down the rabbit hole and enter a topsy-turvy world of adventure, intrigue and impossible things at this immersive Alice in Wonderland event.
How To Play
You can play this game with a team of up to six players. It does cost to play, it is $80 for a team. But split six ways you can play for about $13 per person. The game says it's virtual so I am sure you will play it entirely on your phone. The website makes it almost sound like Geocaching or Pokemon Go style.
When is it?
October 22nd, 2022 is the date the virtual Alice in Wonderland game will take place in Evansville. You can start the game anytime between 9A-2P and they say it'll take from 2-3 hours. It'd be a fun excuse to dress up in cosplay with some friends, and solve the mystery for Alice.
Why is a raven like a writing desk?
This one doesn't have anything to do with the game, but It's a question asked a few times by the Mad Hatter Alice in Wonderland, and even after a lot of Googling, I'm still not entirely sure the answer to that. I think "Poe wrote on both" is the closest thing to an answer I've heard, but I'm not sure if that is correct or not.
