Vanderburgh Sheriff Hosting Child Seat Inspection Clinic Friday
Car seat standards seem to change with every child. The seat you used for your first-born may be outdated by the time child number two comes along even though there's only two to three years separating them. To make sure your child is riding safely, the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office (VCSO) is hosting a child car seat inspection clinic in the Washington Square Mall parking this Friday afternoon (September 28th, 2018).
The clinic is a partnership between the Sherrif's Office, Automotive Safety Program, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute as part of Child Passenger Safety Week and will take place from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Deputies from the VCSO will be on site to make sure your seat is not only up to the current standard, but installed properly. All for free.
If you can't make it Friday afternoon, the VCSO offers free inspections by appointment year-round.
