This images on this video were captured back in the 1957...just about 2 years after the opening of Disneyland. You can find out more about this video and others like it at the Disney History Institute.

I love to see photos or videos from around this time period...especially if they are in color. Everything looks so vibrant...from the parks to the rides to the clothing. And the clothing...I love to see how folks dressed back then. I don't think you'll see anyone wearing a t-shirt and/or jeans. All the guys are wearing collared shirts and slacks, or at least nice shorts. And the ladies are all wearing dresses, skirts or nice slacks. Sometimes I think that I would like to go back and live in that time period, just because I like the style so much.

I made a couple other observations. You'll notice that the majority of the people you see are much thinner than the average person today. That's a sign of the times. And you'll notice a definite lack of ethnicity...except for the park employee dressed up as Aunt Jemima. That is certainly a sign of the times too.
