Amanda Owen is the Executive Director and Founder of Puzzle Pieces. She took a leap of Faith over 5 years ago when she changed job careers and opened this amazing non-profit organization for those with intellectual disabilities. Puzzle Pieces offers a safe environment for those with intellectual disabilities and promotes independence, life skills, community access and involvement, social interaction, communication, self-worth, and build trusting relationships between clients, staff and families.

Amanda's vision and dream for Puzzle Pieces is now being lived out in the lives of over 100 clients and is helping them take that next step to being all God has called them to be.  Since opening Puzzle Pieces over 5 years ago, Amanda also expanded her vision to opening Center Pieces, a day training site for those 18 years and older. In addition to these two facilities, she has also opened a house for independent living and has plans to expand even more in 2018!

You will have to visit the website at http://www.puzzle-pieces.org/ and find out what Puzzle Pieces and The Center Piece has to offer! Also, Amanda has a staff of 64 amazing people who help at these facilities. She is looking for those in our community who have a heart to also help with a broader vision for Puzzle Piece. If you are interested in coming on board, contact Amanda!

Amanda loves bringing community awareness to this organization through fund raising and allowing everyone to be engaged while having fun! Check out the Lip Sync Battle that just took place to a sold out room of excited people who came out to support Puzzle Pieces.

Check out another upcoming fund raising event, the Color Blast, on March 17 at 8 AM, a 5K run/walk color celebration to recognize the positive impact individuals with special needs have on our lives, to acknowledge their abilities, and help spread awareness! Hosted by Wendell Foster, Puzzle Pieces, GRADSA, Team Karlie and Dream Riders of Kentucky.https://www.facebook.com/events/2103311906646505/

Check out Amanda demonstrating a Kettle Bell Triceps Swing, one of my favorite's exercise!
