Fireworks are an all-American summertime tradition. Kids love them...dogs hate them...and men feel extra manly setting them off. But as fun as fireworks are, they can be equally as dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

The goal with fireworks should always be to have fun, and not end up in the hospital. Despite all the videos out there showing knuckleheads getting blown up...there are new knuckleheads each year that do really stupid stuff with fireworks.

That's where the professionals at MARK'S FIREWORKS come in. They are kind enough to offer a FREE fireworks safety session this Saturday at the Vanderburgh Co. 4-H Fairgrounds. The Fireworks Safety sessions start at 7pm and will teach you how to put on a safe backyard show. Mark’s Fireworks is offering free giveaways to the first 100 people. A huge fireworks demo will follow.

Mark Hisle says: “We want the community to have fun during the fireworks season, but want them to know how to be safe with fireworks while putting on a good show for their neighborhood. Church and neighborhood groups that put on displays are all invited.”
