‘Little Shop of Horrors’ Returns to Theaters With Original Ending
One of my favorite movie musicals is coming back to the big screen for a limited re-release! For just a couple days, we'll have the chance to see Little Shop of Horrors as director Frank Oz intended.
Oz had a different, darker ending planned for the 1986 movie about a blood-thirsty, man-eating plant and his shy, awkward owner. After hearing test audience's displeasure (hatred), Oz replaced that ending with one that gave folks that 'happily ever after' feeling we're all so used to. Don't expect that with this re-release.
In the re-release, we will see Audrey II do what it was always meant to do...EAT!
The director's cut of Little Shop of Horrors will be in theatres on October 29th and 31st. You can see it locally at AMC Evansville 16.
