Owensboro, KY Non-Profit Seeks Community Help for Jeep Festival Obstacle Course

Various Jeeps from all over the country will descend on Owensboro for the highly anticipated Jeeps and Jamz Expo next month. It's expected to be the largest gathering of Jeeps in the Midwest, and everyone is invited to attend. Organizers reached out with an extraordinary request in advance of the festival. First, let's take a look at the expo schedule!

2024 JEEPS AND JAMZ EXPO SCHEDULE

Thursday, June 6th
Hawaiian Luau Kickoff Party: 6 PM - 10 PM/CT

Downtown Owensboro will be over-run with jeeps for this first-ever expo. My friends with the Owensboro Off-Road Jeepers and The City of Owensboro are hosting.

The Jeeps and Jamz Expo will be held on Friday, June 7th, and Saturday, June 8th, 2024.

The doors will be open from 10 AM until 5 PM on Friday at the Owensboro Convention Center. The hours for Saturday will be 10 AM until 4 PM. A large variety of vendors (see below) will be on hand along with many Jeep displays. Come hungry for the wide variety of food trucks that will be at the expo!

DIRT NEEDED FOR OBSTACLE COURSE

Mark your calendars and start your engines, Jeepers! The obstacle course at this year's Expo is set to be a landmark feature, expanding in every way to provide an unmatched off-roading adventure.

Owensboro Off-Road Jeepers Inc., a local non-profit organization, is seeking assistance from the community and local business support to gather essential resources for a new obstacle course. This feature is set to be a central attraction at the upcoming Jeeps and Jamz Expo, aimed at providing Jeep enthusiasts with a practical training ground.

Other obstacle donations needed: large rocks; fallen trees; crumbled asphalt; etc.

Local businesses and individuals interested in supporting this cause are encouraged to contribute, helping to ensure the obstacle course and the expo are successful. By getting involved, local stakeholders can help foster a sense of community and support the growth of both the expo and the regional economy. This initiative is more than just building an obstacle course—it’s about creating a community-focused event that celebrates the adventurous spirit of Jeep owners and enthusiasts."

Set to be constructed at Windy Hollow Speedway, this obstacle course will enhance both the expo and the venue, giving Jeep fans a valuable opportunity to hone their off-roading skills in a safe, structured environment. It promises to draw more visitors to Windy Hollow Speedway, spotlighting this local venue while offering exciting challenges for participants.
