For some reason, I'm not allowed to drink coffee. My co-workers and friends insist I already have enough energy without adding caffeine to the mix. But I know plenty of you love your coffee, lattes, and specialty drinks.

If you've ever dreamed of owning your own business, an opportunity just popped up that already has people talking. And if you know this area, you know we take our coffee seriously!

Owners Michelle and Billy shared the emotional news this week, saying, "This is a tough post to write, but the time has come."

The couple first opened Magnolia Coffee & Company in Cannelton in October 2021 before transitioning to a mobile coffee trailer in 2023. They spent the last several years serving customers throughout Perry, Hancock, and Daviess counties.

Recently, family emergencies forced them to pause operations. While they explored options to reopen and even looked at new permanent locations, they said life had other plans.

"It breaks our hearts that we haven't been able to keep our promises to return, but family must come first," they shared.

Now, they are hoping someone else can continue what they built.

Here's what you'd actually be getting. The business is being offered as a turnkey operation for $20,000. It includes an 8-by-12 tandem-axle trailer, a commercial Nuova Simonelli three-group espresso machine, a Nuova Simonelli Mythos grinder with an automatic puck press, and a Square point-of-sale system.

The sale also includes rights to the Magnolia Coffee & Company name, along with established supplier contacts through Dillanos Coffee Roasters.

Michelle and Billy say they are looking for someone ready to take the reins and bring the business into its next chapter.

"Thank you all for the unforgettable memories and support," they wrote.

Anyone interested in learning more about the business can reach out directly to the owners for additional details.

Anyone who's ever had a favorite local spot knows it's never really about the coffee. It's about the people behind the counter who remembered your order and asked about your kids. That's what Michelle and Billy built, and that's what they're hoping someone else will love enough to continue!
