Bull Pit BBQ, Sweet Treats & Christmas Wish! WBKR’s Final Yard Party of the Season

We've got one more WBKR Yard Party up our sleeve, and we're going to make this one count! Join us Friday, October 23, for a day of delicious BBQ, homemade baked goods, concert ticket giveaways, and more, all while helping Christmas Wish celebrate its 50th anniversary season!

BBQ, Baked Goods & Concert Tickets at WBKR Yard Party Friday

The weather looks beautiful for Friday, so it's a great excuse to get out of the office, grab some lunch, pick up a few homemade treats, and help a great cause. What better way to kick off the weekend?

Bull Pit BBQ Is Bringing the Good Stuff!

Let's talk lunch! Our friends at Bull Pit BBQ are serving up a deal that's hard to beat starting at 11 AM at WBKR Studios, 3301 Frederica Street, Owensboro. For just $7, get a meal that includes a sandwich, drink, chips, and a snack. Not in the mood for a sandwich? You can get TWO hot dogs instead!

If you've got a hungry crew at work, we've got you covered there, too. Free delivery is available for orders of five or more meals! Just email Barb at Barb@WBKR.com to arrange your delivery.

A big thank-you to Bull Pit BBQ for helping us feed folks and raise money for Christmas Wish. If you've never tried their BBQ, this is a great chance!

Bring on the Baked Goods!

You know we can't have a WBKR Yard Party without a bake sale. We're hoping to fill the tables with all kinds of homemade goodies, so bring your sweet tooth!

We'll have cookies, cupcakes, brownies, cake pops, muffins, homemade bread, dessert cups, cakes, and pies. Whether you're looking to pick up a little something sweet for the weekend or want to take a dessert to share with the family, we've got you covered.

And bakers, we'd love your help! If you'd like to donate baked goods for the sale, you can drop them off at WBKR any weekday this week between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Every donation helps us raise more money for Christmas Wish!

Concert Tickets, Giveaways and MORE!

We're going to have some fun giveaways, too!

The Champion Concert Car will also have tickets to see Ty Myers at the Ford Center in Evansville and The Dolly Show at the RiverPark Center, plus more goodies to give away. Stop by, grab some lunch, shop the bake sale, and see what you might take home!

We're also grateful to Kroger, Pepsi, and my friend Anna for being donating sponsors and helping make this Yard Party possible. We appreciate the businesses and community partners who continue to step up for Christmas Wish and the children we serve.

Help Us Celebrate 50 Years of Christmas Wish!

This is a special year for Christmas Wish. We're celebrating 50 years of helping make Christmas brighter for local children and families who need a little extra help during the holidays.

Since 1976, Christmas Wish has been working toward one important goal: making sure every child in the Tri-State gets a visit from Santa. Last Christmas, the program helped nearly 8,000 children experience a little Christmas magic!

That's a whole lot of wishes coming true, and we couldn't do it without the generosity of this community.

So, mark your calendar and make plans to join us!
