The Urban Seeds Produce Bundle in Evansville Might Be My New Favorite Grocery Hack
Urban Seeds Produce Bundles in Evansville
Recently, I started following a guy on social media who shares fun, creative ways to work more vegetables into your diet. I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t always get adventurous with veggies. Usually, I make a meat for the main dish, then add a starch and a vegetable. Most of the time, that vegetable gets steamed, roasted, or dumped from a bag into a salad bowl. Functional? Sure. Exciting? Not exactly.
But he’s been showing me great veggie-forward sides, snacks, and even main dishes, and it’s been a game-changer for me.
Another revelation? The post I saw this weekend was about Urban Seeds’ produce bundles.
What Is Urban Seeds?

The nonprofit was established in 2008 and has partnered on a wide range of projects to improve access to healthy food while supporting local farms across Southwest Indiana.

Urban Seeds Executive Director Maria Marton also shared that they are very SNAP/EBT friendly.
Thanks to grant funding, if you purchase $20 of produce at Market on Main using SNAP, you can receive an additional $20 to spend on fresh produce at Market on Main or Franklin Street Bazaar on Saturdays.
That is a pretty incredible deal for families trying to stretch a grocery budget while eating healthier.
Urban Seeds Nourish Program Makes Produce Easy
If you’ve been looking for an easy way to eat more fruits and vegetables, the Urban Seeds Nourish Program may be worth checking out.
Urban Seeds focuses on produce-only boxes so they can pack in as much diversity and variety as possible. Maria told me they work to incorporate local produce whenever they can and even offer a fully local box option.
