Eat This Not That just shared the results of a YouGov survey of more than 27 million users. They asked everyone to choose what they believe is the best fast food brand. Was it McDonalds? Nope. What about Wendy's? Not quite. Chick-Fil-A or Culvers? Good guesses, but not.

It's Dairy Queen which got its start in Joliet, Illinois way back in 1940.

Dairy Queen is a national brand, but still very much an Illinois icon with their official site showing 248 locations in Illinois still today.

That original Dairy Queen location in Joliet, Illinois was an auto insurance place last time I looked, but there is signage on the building noting the Dairy Queen history there.
