Friday After 5

Teresa Thomas the Executive Director of Friday After 5 is on Shaped by Faith this weekend. She talked about the history of Friday After 5 that started in 1996 with only 4 concerts in the courtyard and how much it has grown and expanded over the years. Friday After 5 now offers 68 bands and a miles worth of music downtown.

Teresa talked about the community impact Friday After 5 has each week by drawing different visitors and bands. She also said the success of this venue is because of the wonderful sponsors. We talked about the kid friendly atmosphere and all the FREE things Friday After 5 offers. Kids love the balloon animals provided by the Owensboro Twisters at the Riverpark Center, the Petting Zoo and of course everyone enjoys the FREE popcorn!

There is something for everyone at Friday After 5 on the Jagoe Homes Patio Stage, in the Atmos Energy Courtyard, Glenns Gospel on the River inside the Riverpark Center, to the Overlook stage downtown Owensboro and to the Don Moore Party at the Pier located at the Owensboro Convention Center.

The band this weekend is The Mighty Pines as they return to Owensboro and are thrilled to be playing Friday After 5! Join them on the river for two sets of "Acoustic Soul and Rock & Roll"!
