Eyewitness News Announces New Daybreak Co-Anchor

A familiar face will be returning to your TV next week to deliver you the news along side Jake Boswell, Ron Rhodes, and Joe Bird.

Our media partners at Eyewitness News announced Thursday morning that Gretchen Ross will fill the chair next to Jake Boswell, Ron Rhodes, and Joe Bird every weekday morning on Daybreak starting Monday (October 14th). Gretchen takes the spot left behind by Alexandra Johnson who departed earlier this year for an opportunity at KSTU 13, the FOX TV affiliate in Salt Lake City, Utah.

If you've lived in the Tri-State for the past 15 years or so, Gretchen's face likely looks familiar from her days with channel 14 where she worked until 2010. After leaving 14, she spent time with the United Way of Southwestern Indiana before the sweet song of television news came calling again, this time taking her to Clarksburg, West Virginia where she worked as the evening anchor and reporter for NBC affiliate, WBOY-TV 12.
