Evansville Rescue Mission White Flag Program Is Underway for Winter!
Each Winter the Evansville Rescue Mission has their White Flag Program, where they make sure to have extra bed space, and help get people in from the cold.
Ready or not, because here cold weather comes! With our first widespread hard freeze expected tonight, cold temperatures are finally upon us. For many of us, we don't realize how lucky we are to be able to have a warm place to lay our head at night. Many in the Tri-State aren't that lucky, and that's why the Evansville Rescue Mission started this program.
The White Flag Program is where the Evansville Rescue Mission places a white flag outside. It means they have made extra bed space, and they are a place where people can come and warm up. The White Flag is out when the wind chill drops below 32 degrees.
The Evansville rescue Mission is expecting to help more people than ever this Winter. If you'd like to make a donation, or volunteer to help them out, you can do so here.
