Evansville Railroad Crossings to Close for Repairs October 30th
CSX Railroad will be closing several crossings on Evansville's west side for repair work beginning October 30th. While the locations are known, what isn't known (as of this writing) is if they'll be closed one at time, all at the same time, or for how long.
The office of Mayor Lloyd Winnecke announced the closures of the Ohio Street, Franklin Street, Maryland Street, and Allens Lane on Facebook Tuesday evening saying CSX will be working closely with the Evansville Police Department to keep the public updated on the status of the closings and how soon each will re-open.
If any of those areas are part of your daily commute, make plans to find a way around it.
