Come See the Otters and the Air Force X-1 Mustang Supercar Tonight at Bosse Field
The Evansville Otters are back in town, kicking off a 5-day, 6-game home stand tonight at Bosse Field. Recruiters from the U.S. Air Force will be there too, tonight and tomorrow, showing off their X-1 Mustang Supercar. Believe me, you'll want to see this!
Project Supercar is used by recruiters to demonstrate that a kid's’ passion for cars and mechanics can develop into a career in the US Air Force.
The Air Force created a team of seven highly specialized Airmen along with a world renowned team of car mechanics and customizers from GalpinAuto Sports. The result was project Supercar, a real life showcase of Air Force ingenuity, state-of-the art-technology, imagination and input from some of the world’s best mechanics. The team worked together at the Galpinfacility to develop two Supercars –a Ford Mustang called “X-1” and a Dodge Challenger called “Vapor”.
Not only is the X-1 an absolute beast when it comes to being a car, but the interior is set up like the cockpit of an F-16. I don't care how old you are, the kid in you will be dying to hop inside and take the X-1 for a flight.
And check out the video below for a demonstration of the X-1's ridiculous power.
