Stop by any Subway in the Tri-State to grab their all new Italian Hero Sub, and help support 911 Gives Hope in the process!

Until April 22nd (Guns & Hoses 10 day), participating Subway locations in Evansville, Newburgh, Henderson, and Owensboro will donate $1.00 from the purchase of each Italian Hero to the local police and firefighter charity during their "Buy a Hero, Be a Hero" campaign.

The campaign is being conducted at Subway restaurants across the country, with proceeds benefiting different charities specific to those areas.

The new sandwich is different from the other two Italian-themed sandwiches on the restaurants menu, the Spicy Italian, and Italian B.M.T. Where those two sandwiches feature pepperoni and salami (Black Forest Ham is included on the B.M.T.), the Hero is made with "Spicy Capicola, Mortadella, and Genoa Salami," and "topped with provolone, oil and red wine vinegar, and Mediterranean oregano on Italian Bread," according to the Subway website.

At the conclusion of the campaign, local Subway representatives will present a check from the proceeds to 911 Gives Hope during Guns & Hoses 10 at Ford Center.
