Summer may be winding down but it isn't over yet. As much as many are looking to Midwest's seemingly favorite season, autumn, summer needs to slow down just a tad. There are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy two of the best activities in the summer, floating and baseball.

Thankfully, the summer has provided plenty of opportunities to enjoy a relaxing tubular float down whatever river you prefer. The Kishwaukee, Rock, and Sugar Rivers have been pretty decent for river rats this season. The exception would be one of the worst floating experiences I've ever been a part of. Read it here.

Another summer favorite that is blessed by the weather is baseball. The weather for a lot of the games at Wrigley Field has been nothing short of spectacular. Though there were a few days of hot, hot, hot, in July, it's hard to complain about 80 degrees and sunshine with the breeze off the lake.

Another great option is the brand new ABC Supply Stadium, home of the Beloit Sky Carp, in Wisconsin. If you're unfamiliar with the team they play Triple-A ball against teams like the Iowa Cubs. The beautiful facility sits at the back of the Rock River in Beloit, which is a perfect spot for a truly unique end-of-the-summer experience.

Drift to the Diamond

There's a launch spot near the ballpark that is about a 30-minute float trip to ABC Supply Stadium. You've got to bring your own tube, FYI.

Grab an inner tube and drift down the Rock River to ABC Supply Stadium for the game. More details to come! The link closes on August 26th at 5:00 PM.
