This weekend is the first weekend of the month...that means it's time for another Clean Evansville event. This time around Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and Clean Evansville volunteers will target the city’s North Side.

A recent shooting that involved known gang members has raised awareness and drawn attention to the gang situation in Evansville. So this week we dedicated the entire show to this topic and invited EPD Chief Billy Bolin, EPD PIO Jason Cullum, and Chris Cook from the Eastview Neighborhood Association in to discuss gangs in our town.

Residents will have a chance to ask questions about the city’s new trash and recycling program at the Traveling City Hall meeting Wednesday, January 30th from 5:30pm to 7pm at Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 465 S. Elliott Street.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and his special guests, Dr. William Wooten and Assistant Police Chief Chris Pugh, readdress the topic of meth on this week's show.

At a news conference today, Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, Vanderburgh County Commission President Marsha Abell and Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville President Deborah Dewey announced infrastructure plans that reaffirm the City, County, and State’s commitment to implementing measures to ensure retention of current jobs and creation of new jobs within the region.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke invites the community to “Shape-up with Santa” at Swonder Ice Arena this Saturday, December 15th from 8am to 10am during Energize Evansville’s Fitness in the Park and receive a free pass to “Skate with Santa” from 1pm to 3pm. the same day.

Both Police Chief Billy Bolin and Fire Chief Mike Connelly told Mayor Winnicke that the key to being safe this season is simple...just use your head.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 3pm at the corner of Grove and Louisiana streets. The ceremony will officially mark the completion of the 3.5 miles of the Industrial Corridor linking the Riverfront Corridor with the Mid Levee Corridor from Sunrise Park to the Heidelbach Canoe Launch for total of 6.75 miles.

One of the Evansville Police Department’s new 2013 Dodge Charger will be on display at tonight’s Traveling City Hall meeting at Northeast Park Baptist Church, 1215 N. Boeke Rd., from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
