What to Put in an Adult Easter Basket
Easter is upon us and I am a big believer that kids shouldn't have all the fun! Surprise your parent, adult child, significant other or some other person in your life that could use a little ray of sunshine on Easter. You can find a variation of most of these items (minus the massage) at any grocery store but if you want to make your basket special, you may have to burn a little gas!

Bottle of Wine
Available at Schnucks or Any Liquor Store
Cupcake Vineyards' wines have a wide array of fun flavors and the packaging is whimsical and sweet. My sister prefers the Red Velvet, where I prefer a dry white. Whatever wine you choose, try to match the dryness to what the person prefers. If you don't know, go with a Chardonnay or a Shiraz. They are kind of in the middle.

High End Trail Mix
Available at The Fresh Market
The Fresh Market all kinds of fun choices like Organic Campfire Mix or Banana Split. I usually just get a small container full.

Coffee Sample
Available at Starbucks
You can get a small coffee sample for around $1-2. I received the Starbucks Blonde Roast (a soft medium roast) for Christmas - it's smooth and not too overwhelming.

Fresh Fruit
Available at Aldi
With such bleak weather, we need to avoid scurvy by eating some fresh fruits and I say the more tropical, the better. Go with the fresh pineapples, mangoes, bananas and kiwis Aldi offers.

Imported Cheese
Available at Aldi
In my sister's Easter basket I chose Dubliner Irish Stout cheese. It looked really good to me! Look for a tangy goat cheese, fruit infused Havarti or a beer-laden import. Anything beyond the same old cheddar!

Infused Olive Oil
Available at Big Lots (yes, Big Lots)
Big Lots has a whole Mediterranean section of imported foods. I grabbed a nice festive bottle of garlic infused olive oil to go with the cheese and the next item.

Freshly Baked French Bread
Available at Walmart
Yes, you can get bread anywhere but surprisingly, Walmart has some really nice French Bread for only about a $1.50. You can even get it sliced but for the basket, I'd leave it whole.

Massage
Available from your Local Massage Therapist
It's winter and it's miserable - who wouldn't want a nice relaxing massage to make them lose the blues.
