WATCH LIVE: Storm Area 51 Day September 20, 2019

It started as a joke months ago by a guy on Facebook when he created an event called "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us." His joke ended up amassing millions of Facebook users claiming allegiance to storm Area 51. So much so, that at one point back in August, the US Airforce actually issued a statement saying they stand "ready to protect America and its assets."

As it turns out, today is the day! The original Facebook event, long since deleted now, was planned for September 20, 2019. Despite the removal of the original event however, enough people have turned up at Area 51 that military are on guard and there is a live video stream of the happenings. I don't know that anyone will actually storm the gates (let's hope not!) but for now, let's kick back and watch the excitement from afar.
