Burdette Park

The sweet sound of the Blues will echo throughout Burdette Park on Saturday, July 30th during the Burdette Blues Fest presented by the River Basin Blues Society and the Vanderburgh County Special Olympics.

One of the biggest gripes people from Evansville have is that there's nothing to do. As a native myself, I've certainly said that a time or ten. Maybe it's because we're too "inside the box." Meaning we can't step back and see what our city has to offer because we're too close. We're here every day, so the attractions we have are just another part of the landscape, like any random house

School is out for the summer in Evansville which means you need to find something to keep the kids occupied for the next eight weeks or so. What better way to past the time and survive the normally muggy Southern Indiana summers than with a dip in one of our public pools!

The annual event will help raise funds and awareness for those battling Mitochondrial disease, a potentially life-threatening condition that affects the cells ability to produce the required energy needed for the body to function properly.

Burdette Park Aquatic Center & Miniature Golf Facility will open for the summer season starting this Saturday, May 24th!

One of my co-workers loves to go camping with his family. They hook up their cute little pop up travel trailer, load up the kids and spend the weekend right in the thick of nature. I spent a good part of my childhood camping and though I'm an "indoor cat" now, I am sure that when my daughter gets a few years older, my husband and I will too invest in that special family time that involve
