Should Supersized Drinks Be Banned? — Survey of the Day
Last week, New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg announced a proposal which would ban certain sugary drinks over 16 ounces in the city.
The plan could become law by the middle of next year.
According a new survey of 1,000 adults from Rasmussen Reports, the majority of Americans would not be in favor of a “supersize ban” if it were brought to where they live.
Sixty-five percent of the poll’s respondents would oppose a law that would prohibit the sale of any cup or bottle of sweetened drink larger than 16 ounces. Twenty-four percent would support it, and 11 percent are undecided.
